5/22/2023 0 Comments Books like the great alone![]() ![]() Then, a few weeks ago, I had a sudden realization. ![]() ![]() We also meet twice a month, so starting ANOTHER book club just feels like too much for me, even though more and more frequently over the past year, I’ve felt an intense desire to belong to a book club like the one I did in Texas. Which means that new books never get added to the mix. Here in Arizona, I belong to a book club with just those kinds of women and we do have really interesting engaging discussions, but it’s a book club dedicated to reading the Great Works of the Western World (which is a set list of books that were published in a 54 volume set back in the 50s). It’s been five years since we moved away and I still miss it desperately, especially every time I read something that makes me think, “I need a group of thoughtful, smart, funny women to discuss this with!” ![]() If you’ve been reading my blog for a long time, you know that when we lived in Texas, I belonged to the world’s best book club.
